Hurrah for baking!

I noted this in an email to a friend and have brought it up with some sisters…
Hurrah for baking!!! Baking assuages the soul wounded by cooking failures. Whenever I bomb yet another experiment in a pot, I resort to the simple science of flour and baking soda/powder to boost my self-esteem. HOWEVER, it must be admitted that I recently attempted two batches of brownies that failed to properly set and had to be eaten out of the pan like cake. Due to having followed Prairie’s especially tailored brownie recipe, the mess tasted like heaven. But it remains that I cannot yet coax a brownie from a pan.
